NOKIA - End of an era
End of an Era
When we
think about the initial days of mobile phones, Nokia will be the first name we
could remember. Nokia was the one who made mobile phones a popular term and it
has come a long way.
Nokia was
founded in 1865 by an engineer named Fredrik Idestam as a wood pulp mill. The
second outlet of the company was near to the Nokianvirta river, hence the name
Nokia. Initially they produced paper. In 1898, company started manufacturing
rubber. It also started producing bicycle, car, tires, communication cables,
electrical machinery, televisions and a lot more.
Nokia
corporation was created in 1965. The iconic logo of the Nokia was launched in
1978, altered many times but didn’t change. 2 days ago, for the first time in
sixty years Nokia changed it’s look. The new logo swaps the classic blue with a
range of colours and features five unique shapes forming the word ‘NOKIA’.
